Like the Pumpkin patch our family's goal for the "Choose & Cut" is to provide a fun family outing for our customers. The adventure is centered on finding and cutting the perfect Christmas tree from over 30 thousand trees, the task can some times be over whelming. Jim
and Joan Hunter opened the "Choose & Cut" in 1982, early customers would
hardly recognize the place. Back then one person handed out saws and
collected the money. By the mid eighties we offered wagon rides around
the farm, a pot belly stove, and coffee and hot chocolate are served
in the barn to warm up our customers after their tree searching adventure.

In 1992 as an attraction we brought Reindeer from Alaska and added a holiday shop with beautiful ornaments and tree trimmings. Today's customers enjoy Santa Claus on weekends and for those customers that just want the perfect tree without walking in the field, may choose a tree from a large selection of fresh cut trees from inside the barn.
![]() The farm has become as much a family gathering for our family as for our customers. On weekdays Joan and Tami Hunter are here to assist you and on weekends they are joined by other family members whether they are driving tractor, helping in the fresh cut barn or assisting you in the holiday shop. We hope you enjoy your visit to our family farm.
Best regards, |
